As the new director of admissions, Joel Figgs will be focusing on increasing student enrollment at Central Christian College of Kansas. He will be overseeing the application and acceptance processes for incoming traditional students, and will model Central’s Fit Four philosophy (fit heart, fit mind, fit soul, fit body) in his everyday duties.
Prior to Central, Figgs served as the vice president for enrollment management and student services at Cloud County Community College in Concordia, Kansas He has worked in higher education for more than 22 years and brings with him 19 years of experience in enrollment management.
He received his B.S. in psychology and M.S. in student personnel from Emporia State University.
Figgs also brings his family with him to the Central community. His wife, Paula, is a gifted and talented instructor in the Salina school district. His children are son Jackson (17) and daughter Callahan (15), who both attend Salina Central High School.
Central Christian College of Kansas is a four-year academic institution that offers Christ-centered education for the whole person – heart, mind, body and soul. Central is offers more than 40 academic programs, evening and online courses for nontraditional students, and 18 athletic programs.
