Classic Catechism

$5.95

When Jesus was asked by an expert in the law, “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” Jesus replied by quoting from Deuteronomy 6:5 and Leviticus 19:18: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself’” (Matthew 22:37-39). When Moses first gave this greatest commandment to Israel the instruction that immediately followed was to impress them on your children. Whether at home with family, at church in children’s ministry or in small group with new believers, the Classic Catechism offers a traditional approach to impress on the followers of Jesus the basic tenets of the Christian faith. It poses questions pertinent to the basics of Christian faith and proposes specific answers. It responds to a deep human need to have answers. Supplying answers to the basic questions of faith is but a small step in discipleship.
