Go Global Freemo

The call to be a global church is non-negotiable. Jesus didn’t give the disciples an option, he sent them. While not every North American Christian can go to the ends of the earth, everyone can be engaged in the global mission of Jesus. The challenge is in how to strategically engage in that mission. In this study, three missional leaders in the church challenge the reader to engage in the worldwide call of Jesus by sending pioneering missionaries, by partnering with the international Free Methodist Church, and by reaching across the cultural landscape within the United States. The goal—everyone engaged!

About The Author

Bishop David Roller

David T. Roller served for 17 years as a Free Methodist missionary in Mexico, then for 10 years as Latin America Area Director for Free Methodist World Missions and in July of 2007 was elected a bishop of the Free Methodist Church – USA. His experience in seeing the world through “missionary eyes” has convinced him that all Christians should adopt the posture and mind set of missionaries — understanding the culture where they minister, relinquishing their own preferences and privileges in their desire to see people’s key allegiance transferred from “whatever” to Jesus.

Gerald Wesley Coates

Gerald Coates serves as Director of Global Church Advocacy for Free Methodist World Missions. He provides leadership in connecting the work of the worldwide Free Methodist Church with the Free Methodist Church USA. Gerald has worked in establishing cross cultural ministries in the United States in Indiana and Illinois. He has a long history of mission engagement with the Free Methodist Church, particularly in Asia.

Linda Adams

Linda Adams is Director of International Child Care Ministries (ICCM), the child sponsorship program of the Free Methodist Church. ICCM serves 20,000 children in 30 countries. ICCM is a strategic link in the
partnership between the international Free Methodist Church and the Free Methodist Church USA. Linda empowers competent leaders in the church around the world to do the compassionate ministries they want to do in their needy communities. Previous to accepting the position at ICCM, Linda served as a pastor in Michigan, Illinois and New York.
