In 2017, country leader Abraham Lama, was ordained a Free Methodist elder. He continues supervising the many local churches and indigenous ministries in Nepal. Missionaries from the FMCUSA, FMC India, and FMC Hong Kong have traveled to Nepal to train and equip leaders for the growing work. Free Methodist ministry is now located in 16 districts, among 13 language and tribal groups, and in the urban center of Katmandu. There are a growing number of ministerial candidates and 14 district leaders who assist Pastor Abraham in overseeing the work of nearly 200 churches, at least 11,560 members, and a new International Childcare (ICCM) program. God is working through the Free Methodist Church in Nepal. Financial support has not yet caught up with the rapidly growing work. Support is needed for church planting trainers, district leaders and administrative help. Our financial goal is $5000 a month.
