ASIA
Thailand: Continue to pray for the people of Thailand. Flood waters from the north and high tide waters will be converging at Bangkok over the next couple days. Pray the dikes hold. If they do not, the city of Bangkok, with its 12 million people, will be flooded. As you pray, remember Free Methodists who are part of the two churches located in Bangkok, as well as those who live at the Jasmin Project – a home for unwed mothers. Although the home is located two hours north of Bangkok and is not flooded, residents are isolated because of flood waters. Pastor Art Chutong will make a special trip, Mon., Oct. 31, to deliver food to the residents, including two babies. Pray for Pastor Art as he makes this trip which will take many hours due to the flooding. Also lift David Yardy in prayer as he travels to Asia on Thurs., Oct. 27, for an extended trip to several Asian countries. His first stop is Thailand.
