FM: Infuse Student Ministry team is absolutely PUMPED to announce our brand new Student Ministry Summit.
We have always offered some kind of student element at General Conference, but this year, we are coming together to offer a new kind of experience for students going into grades 7-12.
We want youth pastors to consider bringing their groups because this year, students will be able to have somewhat of a “choose-your-own-adventure” experience, all the while experiencing what it means to be a part of the global Free Methodist Church. We will have worship sessions together in the morning with some energetic music, some crazy-awesome games, and some great teaching from James Fransz, an author and pastor from Murrieta, CA. Then, students will be given the option of different tracks to take for breakout sessions including topics like leadership, spiritual disciplines, and also a track that will provide students with everything they need to begin pursuing full time ministry in the Free Methodist Church.
Then in the evenings, we will worship with General Conference in a multi-cultural, inter-generational worship experience. Mix in with all of that the fact that we are at a resort with some incredible pools, and the fact that we’ll be heading over to Typhoon Lagoon on our free day, and you get a unique, pretty incredible opportunity for students to grow in their faith. We on the FM:Infuse team are pumped to have the opportunity to head up this experience, and we really hope youth pastors will bring their students.
They’ll learn more about our denomination, learn more about following Jesus Christ, and get to have an incredible time doing it at an incredible resort.
