Central Christian College is pleased to solicit applications and nominations for the position of Chair of the Ministry & Theology Department. Central Christian College is associated with the Free Methodist Church of North America; therefore we are committed to a theological framework best articulated by the Wesleyan perspective and the Discipline of the Free Methodist Church. Ordination in the Free Methodist Church of North America or other thoroughly Wesleyan denomination is a requisite for the position. Applicants must hold an advanced degree in Theology or Ministry (Doctorate preferred) and have experience as a senior pastor, associate pastor, youth minister, or missionary.

The applicant should possess proficiency in several of the following areas: Inductive Bible Methods, Greek or Hebrew, Theology, Philosophy, and Ministry. As an instructor in the department, this individual is responsible for organizing and facilitating undergraduate ministry and Bible courses, participating on the Spiritual Development Committee, overseeing departmental lectureships, advising, and participating in faculty related assignments.

The Chair is responsible for supervising and evaluating faculty and staff associated with the Ministry & Theology department; administering the department’s resources; preparing budgets; developing and revising the curriculum; representing the department in a variety of arenas; teaching; and engaging in scholarship. The department offers Majors in General Ministry, Worship Arts, Pastoral Ministry, and Youth Ministry. Typical load includes 32 hours (Fall 12, Winter 3, Spring 12), with additional load time assigned for committee assignments and advising. The Chair is responsible for overseeing all curriculum delivery systems that use Ministry & Theology courses including Dual-Credit, Online, and Professional modalities.
