The PCJC Network (Pacific Coast Japanese Conference) was founded upon the sacrificial lives of four women who reached out in faith to the first Japanese who had settled in the United States in the early 1900’s. The network was forged out of the difficult and challenging conditions of the Japanese Internment Camps of the 1940’s. Today, the PCJC is a multi-ethnic network of 21 churches and three preaching points, with an aggressive strategy and vision to plant churches through their newly founded RIZE Church Planting Network. The goal of launching RIZE is to plant “20 churches in 10 years” from San Diego to Seattle and beyond.

The initial priority for a RIZE Church Planter will be to saturate themselves in the strategic planning process of developing and implementing a vision to plant a church in South Orange County in congruence with the vision, mission, and strategic objectives of the PCJC and RIZE.

Their objective will be to acquire a firm grasp of the designated city, recruit and develop a core team, raise operational funds, select a site, market their presence and launch RIZE Church South Orange County (Irvine or Mission Viejo).

Their role will be implement the strategic missional outline (roadmap, timeline, and milestones for the first RIZE Church plant in collaboration with the senior leadership of PCJC and RIZE. The senior leadership will also offer direction and clarity of purpose to the church, through ongoing assessment, coaching, accountability, and supervision.

A bachelor’s degree in a field relatable to the position is required, although an educationally comparable master’s degree or Master of Divinity degree is highly preferred. The ideal candidate for the position will seamlessly fit the following RIZE Church Planter Profile:
