Over the past several months, the MMHC received two large collections of historical resources. One from the Tillman Houser (missionary to what is now Zimbabwe) family. The second collection came from the family of Esther (Shelhamer) James. She also was a missionary to Africa for a short time early in her adult life. After returning to the US, she and her husband, Gilbert James, began an interracial evangelism ministry in Louisiana. They later served the FM community in Wilmore, KY. These two collections are now processed and available for researchers and will be valuable resources for the Historical Center. We appreciate these donations from their families.
