Ogemaw Hills Church is a Free Methodist Church located in beautiful northern Michigan. Our average Sunday attendance is 350 with a strong emphasis on reaching those who are hurting and broken in our community and world. We have a Free Medical Clinic, Food Pantry, Clothing/Backpack ministry to children in need, Jail ministry, Handyman ministry, etc. We are blessed to have sent and support two missionary families out of our church. It is imperative that our Associate Pastor have a heart for the most vulnerable in our society and carry a vision that will expand the impact of the Church in the lives of people.

The position of Associate Pastor for Ogemaw Hills Free Methodist Church involves responsibility for overseeing the continued development and implementation of Christ-centered and dynamic ministries through the Church which glorify Jesus and invite His transforming presence into the lives He entrusts into our care.

The Associate Pastor will have a special responsibility for Student Ministries and Worship Ministry with the understanding that God will direct and enable him in other areas of ministry as well to see God reach those who do not yet know Christ and to multiply disciples. The Associate Pastor’s focus will be working with, equipping, and multiplying existing lay leadership teams to see increased fruitfulness for Christ and accomplish the work of the ministry. The Associate Pastor should be someone with strong ministry/work experience and maturity to enable him to lead our leaders with godly vision and confidence.

This person will be regarded as a Pastor of the church. He will partner with the Senior Pastor in carrying the ministry of the church including planning and visioning, Sunday morning service involvement, periodic preaching, and overseeing the church (and filling the pulpit) when the Sr. Pastor is on vacation, at conferences, etc.

This position is “full- time” with a full salary package that will be detailed through the interview process.
