AFRICA

Burundi: Lift Kibuye Hospital patients in prayer. Pray for Chaplain Nyawenda Pascal who ministers to many who have never heard God’s name.

ASIA

Creative Access: A teacher in a creative access country hosts monthly English teachers’ get-togethers that have focused on discipleship. Pray for these meetings and a chat room group that has started.

A creative access worker requested prayer for Sarah, a young woman who was taken by ambulance to the hospital early Tues., May 15, because she is experiencing paralysis in half of her body. Doctors suspect a blood clot in her brain. Pray for peace and wisdom for Sarah and those caring for her.

Taiwan: Tim and Lily Kinkead report some church families are facing serious family and marriage problems. Also, some are struggling with depression. Join in prayer as Tim and Lily help these people to rely on the Lord.

EUROPE

Bulgaria: Al and Diane Mellinger request prayer for their upcoming summer schedule. They are currently making arrangements for six teams traveling to Bulgaria to be involved in summer ministries. Pray for God’s direction and that He would prepare the hearts of the people to whom the teams will be ministering.

MIDDLE EAST/NORTH AFRICA

Jordan: Church planting work is making significant inroads into communities without churches in one region of Jordan. The poverty in these communities has made them hot-beds for Islamic extremists and Satanic worshipers. Pray for safety for FM American and Jordanian workers in this area. Pray the bondage to sin would be broken in the lives of many. Pray for young believers who are being threatened.

The Jordanian FMC is beginning a new ministry for young adults – a demographic quickly disappearing from churches. The ministry is designed and led by young Jordanians. Pray for wisdom for leaders, for outreach efforts and that this ministry would produce a new generation of church leaders.

MISSIONS FAMILY

Transition: Since February 2011, Jack Munos has worked in cooperation with the Haitian International Child Care Ministries (ICCM) staff. He has coordinated special ICCM projects, including water filters, solar-oven distribution and education, along with other ICCM outreach initiatives. Moreover, he has sought to fulfill God’s call on his life and that of his wife, Jeanne, who tragically lost her life in the January 2010 earthquake. Jack has now sensed a new direction in his ministry: “For several months I have felt I was being released from my work here in Haiti. I never imagined returning to the States to work, but that seems to be the way our God is leading. I have prayed, as have others, regarding this decision. I feel a peace that I had not felt for some time. I will be leaving Haiti in August. I request your continued prayers that I will realize God’s leading in the future work He has for me.”

INTERNATIONAL CHILD CARE MINISTRIES

Kenya: Pray for the Bike Kenya 2012 team as they pedal 600 miles, May 7 to 21, to raise funds to build an ICCM school. $40,000 would buy land and materials for this secondary school. The team includes eight North Americans and Kenyan Bishop Nixon Dingili. Learn more at bikekenya2012.blogspot.com.

SEED LIVELIHOOD

Videographer Ryan Kennelly is putting the finishing touches on three videos from SEED’s March trip to Asia. Pray the production will go smoothly and the stories presented about livelihood groups and their members would touch the hearts of God’s people.
