Paul noted to the Colossians when he wrote about the gospel’s work among them that “all over the world this gospel is bearing fruit and growing, just as it has been doing among you since the day you heard it and understood God’s grace in all its truth.” That is still true today! And, certainly true about Africa.

The figures are staggering: nearly 50 percent of all Free Methodists today live in Asia – that’s about half a million members – a miraculous multiplication from about 45,000 less than 20 years ago! Behind these amazing statistics are exciting stories, unfolding through the lives of our North American missionaries (short-term and career), our international missionaries (Asians reaching Asians through cross-cultural initiatives), our national leaders (Asian bishops, superintendents, pastors, evangelists and pioneers) – and all these stories are woven together into a miraculous tapestry of thousands of local churches stretching across 18 countries! But that’s not all.

Latin America
The goal of Free Methodist World Missions in Latin America is to fuel and sustain an apostolic movement to reach Latin Americans for Christ. Pray this will become a reality as we work to: 1) empower and coach national leaders to multiply disciples, groups, leaders and churches; 2) catalyze initiatives and partnerships to plant clusters of churches in strategic cities; and 3) create appropriate structures and sustainable systems to encourage and support the exponential growth of the church.

Middle East/North Africa
Our work is growing in every country in this region where we have a presence. Lost people are finding salvation and hope in Jesus. Immature believers are growing in their walk with the Lord. They are reaching out to family and friends. Leaders are being developed and released into ministry in previously unreached towns.
