Full-Time Director/Assistant Pastor: Students & Young Adults
Davison Free Methodist Church is a growing missional Christian community committed to Love God – Love People – and Make Disciples in Genesee County, Michigan and beyond.

We are seeking to employ a person who will passionately pursue our vision and mission by giving initiating leadership and oversight to our ministry to teenagers and their families and to young adults both in our congregation and in our community

Students & Families : The Director/Assistant Pastor will lead, inspire, and manage the oversight of our ministry to teens and their families recognizing that to reach, and disciple Junior High and High School students is best accomplished in partnership with parents and other family members.

Young Adults: The Director/Assistant Pastor will lead, inspire, and manage the oversight of our ministry to young adults from High School Graduation through the late 20s. . This would include development of small groups, and periodic outreach events designed with this demographic in mind

Support/Pastoral Ministry: Under the direction of the Lead Pastor the Director/Assistant Pastor will provide support in areas of encouragement, guidance, teaching and leadership particularly as it relates to teens and young adults.

The person serving in this role may be appointed by the East Michigan Conference as a full time pastor and will be accountable to the local church through the Lead Pastor and if a pastor, to the Conference through the Ministerial Education and Guidance Board.

Key Qualifications:
A strong and growing walk with Christ.
College/University education and training in Youth Ministry /Young Adult Ministry.
More than 2 years of successful ministry experience.
An alignment of spiritual gifts, personality and temperament and a sense of calling consistent with this role: Leadership, Teaching, Administration, Friendliness, and Compassion.
