Fire Causes Severe Damage to Church

A fire caused major damage Thursday, Jan. 15, to the Free Methodist Church in Burlington, Vermont.

The Burlington Free Press reported Friday, Jan. 16, that Fire Marshal Barry Simays said the fire’s cause would be listed as “undetermined” because structural damage — including a roof collapse — prohibited investigation of the burned 1903 church building, which lacked insurance.
