Children’s Ministries Resources

A group of Children’s Ministries Directors from the Midwest met over two days at the World Ministries Center in August 2016 to help our denomination better understand the needs of our people working at the front lines of children’s ministry. Out of that meeting, came a list of deliverables we’re now working to provide. One of those was a website where those engaged in children’s ministry can turn for resources and networking. And thus this page. We’ll be adding more resources regularly. And if there’s something you need that isn’t here, email us at info@fmcusa.org and we’ll do our best to help.

We’ve also built a Facebook page for Free Methodists working in children’s ministry to share what’s working and what they need. It’s a closed page, so you’ll need to let us know you’d like to join the group by requesting access.

WANT SOME GOOD IDEAS?

At the August 2016 meeting of Children’s Ministry Directors, many great ideas were shared for things like promoting the ministry, and engaging parents. We asked a couple people to share their ideas with you … just to prime the pump
and get you thinking. Click here to watch the video on Vimeo.

For reviews and recommendations of children’s     curriculum here is a great resource!

  • It’s important to have done due-diligence on everyone who works with the children in your church. But that requires forms for people to fill-out, policies to follow, and processes to accomplish the goals. Click below for a few forms, policies, and processes that are being used at Waypoint Free Methodist Church in their successful children’s ministry program. You are free to copy the verbiage for use in your own church. Click here to access the Facebook page for Children’s Ministries.
