Free Methodist Church USA "let there be light" with Dove-Flame Mark. Orange and Blue.

The Bishops’ Crisis Response Fund needs all of our generosity right now to respond to the California wildfires.

The wildfires currently are devastating Southern California communities with at least 10 deaths and the destruction of thousands of homes and many churches and businesses. The area is home to multiple Free Methodist congregations, and some church members and pastors in Los Angeles County have been forced to evacuate their homes as high winds and extreme conditions create safety concerns. As the fires continue to rage, experts are already describing the situation as the costliest and most destructive wildfire disaster in American history.

The Eaton Fire has caused widespread destruction in the area that is home to our Expressions, Foothill Community, and Rose City churches while our 180 City Church is in the area of the Hurst Fire, and our Marina Christian Fellowship is in the area of the Pacific Palisades Fire. As we pray for the pastors, church members, firefighters, and other residents of the area, we can also act.

The Bishops’ Crisis Respond Fund offers a powerful way to give to relief efforts. The fund provides 100% of all gifts directly to the need. The needs are great as the Free Methodist Church in Southern California works to provide temporary housing for evacuated families, child-care support for families affected by school closures, and health support such as assistance for those with respiratory concerns.
